Patagonia, a mountain mecca where climbers, hikers, and tourists flock. Without having much time, we chose the day hike of Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, which is a less common hike than those hiking Laguna de los Tres.
Hike out of town and to the visitor center, where the trail starts. Gain 5085 ft / 1550 m in roughly 13 miles or 20.5 km. Make sure you are prepared since the weather changes fast in Patagonia.
The views are amazing. However, the hike goes through the trees and past open pastures, so you are not sharing the trail with hikers but with livestock and horseflies. The climb can be strenuous and exposed by wind so pack accordingly.
