For an aquatic experience geared towards those who prefer staying above water, you might want to check out the Los Cantaros waterfall. Mind you, this is by no stretch of the imagination a strenuous excursion into uncharted Argentinean territory. In fact, since the falls are located not far from the popular town of Puerto Blest, you'll likely be arriving at the start of a very easy 1-hr hike via a tour-group catamaran ride on Lake Nahuel Huapi (with an optional jaunt down Lago Frias). Still, if you don't mind sharing the experience, the cascade is situated in an area of Bariloche that boasts particularly brilliant scenery. In other words, it's worth seeing. Save this day-trip for an easygoing afternoon when you're not engaged in some rugged skiing or mountaineering and you'll appreciate it's simple beauty to the fullest.
Location:45 km (28 miles) west northwest of Bariloche, Argentina
