This giant neighborhood, composed of (predominantly) Palermo Hollywood, Palermo Soho, Palermo Chico and Las Canitas, is where you'll find the bulk of BA's trendiest clubs, shops and restaurants. Trendy does mean touristy, however, so don't expect to find a lot of out-of-the-way gems here. Still, options are everywhere, and because of its immense size finding the right place to settle in for a bite to eat or a night out can sometimes be a bit confusing. Not to worry.
In general, Soho and Hollywood (which constitute east- and west-central Palermo respectively) boast the highest concentration of restaurants and nightlife joints, and especially Soho can be considered the most fashionable of the sub-districts. If you're still feeling lost, just make your way to the small Julio Cortaza Park and start strolling northwest along Honduras. You'll be just fine. The streets here are generally safe and the atmosphere generally friendly so, as long as you don't mind hanging out with the hip kids, this is your spot.
