One of two mountains that stand sentinel over La Falda, Cerro La Banderita is a perfect adventure for day hikers in and around Cordoba. It's peak, which stands at a height of 1,400 m (4,593 ft), beckons with unsurpassed views of the town, San Roque Dam and the beautiful Punilla Valley below. At a moderate pace, the ascent shouldn't take more than 90 minutes, with no more than a few patches of steeper, more tactical climbing. On a hot summer day, the trek to the top will provide plenty of incentive for a refreshing swim in El Chorrito creek on the way down (look for it between La Banderita and neighboring El Cuadrado).
