Roughly 90 km (56 miles) northwest of Cordoba City lies the Los Terrones Park, a lush beautiful landscape of wind eroded rock, sand and lava formations that some have dubbed Cordoba's "Valley of the Moon". Situated about a mile (1.6 km) above sea level, this unique geological park has several hiking and biking options, including a strenuous but rewarding 2 hour trek that provides access to waterfalls, amazing views, and several patches of steep, adventurous climbing.
If you don't have access to a vehicle, buses from Cordoba to Capilla del Monte (closest town to Los Terrones) are available for 80 pesos ($19 USD) round trip and take approximately 3 hours one way.
