Though, all things considered, there are not many monuments standing in Argentina that commemorate its most profoundly influential revolutionary, the Casa Che Guevara just southwest of Cordoba is a refreshing and illuminating exception. Che's childhood home from age 4 to 16, this house-turned-museum in Alta Gracia contains relics from his early and developmental years, including teachers' report cards, books, photographs, and a farewell letter to his parents composed in 1965. Here you can also find "La Poderosa": the 50 cc motorcycle on which Che and Alberto Granado made their life-changing journey across South America. For such a short drive (45 min) from the city center, it's certainly well worth checking out.
