A mouthful to enunciate, perhaps, however the striking architecture and artistic content of the Caraffa Provincial Fine Arts Museum are worth the effort to both say and see in downtown Cordoba. Replete with paintings and sculptures by local artists such as Juan Carlos Castagnino, Fernando Fader and Emilio Caraffa himself, not to mention original Goyas, lithographs by Pablo Picasso and a host of temporary traveling exhibits, the contents within these large and spacious display rooms can make for an enlightening addition to your cultural to-do list around the city.
Don't dig fine art? No worries. The EC Museum also happens to be handily located in the Parque Sarmiento, a relaxed public space that can be enjoyed even by those who haven't the slightest idea who Emilio Caraffa is.
