Exemplifying the strong Jesuit influence in colonial Argentina, Manzana Jesuitica (Jesuit Square) is far and away Cordoba's most popular cultural attraction. Here you'll encounter beautiful architecture fused with historical significance as this block contains, among other notable structures, both the country's oldest church (la Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús) as well as the prestigious National University of Cordoba. Declared a Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, a full inspection of Manzana Jeuitica can only be accomplished via guided tours, which are well worth every peso (10 actually) for the insight they provide into the development of this central Argentinean city.
