Cordoba's central square, Plaza San Martin is a perfect place to embark on a cultural tour of this unique city. From the architecturally impressive Catedral Cordoba, which underwent initial construction in 1577, to the historic 17th century cabildo that once housed the town council and police station, there's plenty to see and do here to satisfy any cultural enthusiast. Not interested in dated architecture? Then catch any of the multiple shows and exhibitions taking place almost daily around the plaza's central statue (a mounted General San Martin, but you already knew that).
Location:San Jeronimo & Buenos Aires, Cordoba
Note:The Catedral Cordoba is free to enter, and the city's tourism office is located inside the cabildo.
