West of the city of Mendoza lies the scenic Quebrada del Salto, a beautiful landscape strewn with small mountains and canyons ripe for exploration. This area is definitely popular with hikers and horseback riders, with hours of trails offering visitors stunning vistas colored with of the incredible landscapes available in Mendoza Province.
For those with a taste for something a little more extreme, these treks can be paired with a trip to the Quebrada del Salto waterfall, which has an 18 meter (59 ft) wall perfect for rappelling. Whether you decide to rappel or just take a dip, it's a refreshing climax to a day of great summer hiking in and around western Mendoza.
