Although dive locations known the world over are better found more approximate to Cairns or Port Douglas (the Coral Sea, the Whitsunday Islands, Heron Island, etc.), travelers to Brisbane will enjoy the adventures available both above and below water at Moreton Bay, Frasier Island, and beyond. Head south to enjoy the aptly named Surfers Paradise or north to the Sunshine Coast if the sand and waves are top priority.
