Main Range National Park is broken into different sections, one of which is Goomburra at about 175km south-west of Brisbane. The area provides an excellent location for camping, hiking and 4WD.
By combining 2 hikes together you can do a 7.6km hike through rain-forest which includes cascades, rocky pools along the Dalrymple Creek as well as Eucalyptus forests along the ridge. The ridge gives fantastic views through the valley. The track from the ridge to the Mana Gum campground is quite steep in places and resembles somewhat of a goat track!
You can often spot some wildlife in the area including kangaroos and several species of parrots including the gorgeous but noisy black cockatoos.
