About 200 kilometers (124 miles) south of Perth lies the one of the most prolific, high-end wine regions in Australia. Margaret River is home to over 100 wineries (and quite a few award-winners), as well as a local brewing, fudge, and ice-cream industry. This is what most folks will come here to do, and while leisure and indulgence are fine in and of themselves, they are by no means Embark experiences.
There's good news though, Embarkaderos. Margaret River is also one of the top surf destinations on Australia's west coast. Surfers Point caters to the full range of water enthusiasts, from paddle-boarders that will tend to stay north toward Margaret River's outlet to the surfing professionals that tackle the big breaks along the southwest coast. If you don't get your fill of water sports here, then head to Yallingup, where there are a handful of beaches that feature prime snorkeling and swimming, as well as truly epic locations like Three Bears, which earns it appeal by making you four-wheel drive (only) from Sugarloaf Rock.
