Local NGO Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi (CIWY) is always in need of more helping hands and accepts volunteers all year round. Volunteer at one of their 3 wildlife refuges and and gain hands-on experience of the day-to-day care of a wide variety of rescued wildlife. From monkeys, to macaws, to jaguar and tapirs; CIWY currently cares for over 400 animals.
Volunteering at one of CIWY's wildlife refuges is a once in a lifetime, incredibly rewarding and humbling experience. Where else would you get to bond with an orphaned spider monkey or puma cub?
