Sandy Cay (pronounced "key") is a small uninhabited island nestled in between Tortola and Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. If you've ever dreamed of finding yourself on a deserted tropical island- with only perfect white sand, crystal clear waters, mangroves, and palms to keep you company- Sandy Cay is the place for you. This island is straight out of a Hollywood fantasy- complete with crystal clear waters for snorkeling, beautiful indigenous flora and fauna and nary a trace of human impact besides a hiking trail that rings the island and ends in a spectacular vista. The beauty of this place cannot be understated. It's simply breathtaking. You'll need a boat to get to Sandy Cay- perhaps charter a sailboat for the full BVI experience or hire a motorboat from one of the main islands to take you there. Once you wade ashore, get lost and fulfill your deserted island fantasies!
