With a steadily expanding space and collection, the Art Gallery of Ontario has made a name as one of the premiere art institutions in North America. Originally built at the turn of the 20th century, the museum has kept up with the times, as indicated by the bowed glass and wood design of the entrance facade on Dundas Street. Architectural brilliance aside, the collection spans the last 2000 years of civilization, including the largest assemblage of Canadian art on Earth, as well as European greats like Picasso, Cezanne, Van Gogh, and more. There is also some excellent contemporary photography. A must see, even for the dilettantes among us (look it up; it's a word worth knowing). Check the official site for more details!
Note:Entrance is about $19.50 for adults, although Wednesday nights are free.
