If you're one to enjoy the nightlife that a huge city like Beijing has to offer, then it's best that you pinpoint Chaoyang on your map. Home to big, bawdy excitement unlike any other district in Beijing, you'll have no trouble finding establishments that fit the mold from casual to trendy to over-the-top, sometimes within the span of a few blocks.
There are three main concentrations of nightlife in Chaoyang. The longest running area is in Sanlitun, where the bar street that cuts through the neighborhood boasts throngs of late-nighters every weekend. You've got great rooftop bars (Migas), pizza and microbrews (The Tree), chill lounges (Apothecary), and much more. Within walking distance, the nightlife that surrounds nearby Worker's Stadium to the southwest is epitome of clubbing in the capital. Institutions like Vics, Elements, Mix, and the hidden and smokey Fubar (behind Stadium Dog and accessed through its bathroom entrance) are all worth a look if you want something more than a dive bar and a dream. Then again, the west side of Chaoyang Park is also quite happening; there are a handful of quality bars and clubs.
Home to some of the biggest clubs and coolest bars in the city, we suggest Chaoyang as your first choice if this is an area of interest.
