Up in northwestern Cuba's resort country, where a thin spit of sand called Varadero calls out to the world with luxury hotels and 25 km of impeccable beach, is a chance to see the world from on high with the Varadero International Skydiving Centre. Both tandem and solo jumps are available from either a small plane or helicopter, and, while you may only get about 30 seconds of freefall (only??), you'll be floored by exceptional, oceanic beauty on all sides as you drift your way down. Take in your bird's eye view of the Varadero Peninsula for about seven minutes and, depending on where you may be staying, you just may be able to arrange landing on the beach outside your hotel.
Look to pay 180 CUC for a tandem jump and a mere 30 CUC for a solo jump. Just be sure to work out your pick up and drop off points ahead of time, especially if you buy your excursion at the beach. Check the included site for further info.
