Boasting both a Baroque castle and a 57-acre park, Clausholm is an ever-popular site less than half an hour drive north of Aarhus. Painstakingly restored within the last half century, this 17th century landmark is known for its well cultivated grounds, punctuated by a series of fountains and walkways. Still in use as a home and farm, the period romanticism of the castle is open to the public in July and August, while the grounds are open from May to September. Visitors to Aarhus who value historic architecture will find this summer day trip up their alley.
