Raad ny Foillan, meaning "the Way of the Gull" in Manx, is a 153 km (95 mile) hiking trail that skirts the Isle of Man in a circular fashion. It is an excellent way to get in touch with all corners of this historically unique island, which is located between Ireland and Great Britain.
From the capital, Douglas, or any other way-point, you can walk or bike these well-marked paths up and down coastal cliffs, across shingle beaches, around spectacular bays, and come across a number of landmark castles and towers hundreds of years old.
If you are an adventurer in search of a truly off-the-beaten-path experience, catch a plane or boat to the Isle of Man and traverse its coastal crevices and crags with a multi-day walk of the Raad ny Foillan.
