An archipelago off of the southwestern coast of England, the Isles of Scilly are a stunning group of inhabited and uninhabited islands to make your escape from the world. The only airport is on the island of St. Mary's, but access is readily available by boat between the islands and the mainland.
No matter the island, coastal walks, beach-lounging, fishing, and boating are some of the most popular outdoor activities. Whatever you do you'll have a constant companion in the ubiquitous granite coasts and the views of the Atlantic that await you at every turn (i.e. the vistas of St. Martin's Bay). Most of the islands cater to tourists, but one that appeals to Embark sensibilities is the largely unpopulated and untouched Bryher, a great place to feel like the world is all your own. Also, try Tresco Channel for some quality snorkeling and diving.
