One of the coolest bungee jumps you can do while in England is leap available from the transporter bridge over the River Tees, which connects the city of Middlesbrough to neighboring Port Clarence. For those who don't know, a transporter bridge is a suspended gondola used to carry cargo across the bridge; which apparently also serves the purpose of allowing people to tie themselves up and hop off of high places. Even more intriguing, the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge is the only one in England, making for a uniquely exciting drop 160 feet toward the water below.
There are a couple of adventure companies that provide booking for this activity, one of which we've provided, at a cost of about $120 USD for a single jump and about $230 USD for both a backward and forward jump.
Note:The closest large city to this bungee location is Newcastle Upon Tyne, about a 45 minute drive to the north.
