A historic beer hall noted for its place as the Bavarian royal brewery, the Hofbräuhaus is a must-see landmark at Munich's city center, a beer-lover's pilgrimage in a country where good beer is around every corner. The tone here is jovial, the brews ever-flowing, and the oompah ever playing; and we've got the footage to prove it!
In existence for nearly 500 years, this establishment has been inspiration for Mozart's music (he lived next door), the stage for a number of Adolph Hitler's infamous speeches, and is still the place to get some of the best local beer and grub (pretzels bigger than basketballs). Sure, it's got more tourists than Bavarians filling the seats and dancing in the aisle, but that shouldn't stop you. The Hofbräuhaus is a rite of passage in Munich; don't deny yourself the pleasure.
