While on a mission trip to Guatemala, our team visited Casa Santiago, one of the local orphanages. I think people would want to go there to see the people and experience the culture. While at the orphanage we were with kids who had no family, no money, and some even had disabilities, yet they were some of the happiest kids I've ever met. This is the playground that the orphans play on, overlooking one of the bigger towns. The view is so beautiful, but to them it's just another landscape. Going to places like this really gives you a new appreciation for life and what you have, and that's honestly better than any adventure you can go on.
