Sure, you've got a touch of adventure and some real legitimate historical ties, but isn't everything. The streets around the Colonne di San Lorenzo (as it is known in Italian) are a hotbed of social gathering, whether it is for just hanging out at one of the many bars and lounges in the area or literally waiting around near the columns for the street party vibe to heat up. Via Gian Giacomo Mora and Via Edmondo de Amicis are the parallel avenues where many of the nearby establishments will be. Hora Feliz and Cuore are where your cocktails can be had, while you can join the folks milling in the street outside of Bar Rattazzo for your weekend excitement. There are some good Italian eateries too, while the gelato and other desserts at Cioccolatitaliani are raved about and worth a spot on your itinerary. Be prepared to join the night owls of Milan late into the night, for this is place to hang out after all of the establishments have closed.
