The tallest peak in the Blue Mountain region (2,256 meters/7,402 feet), Blue Mountain peak is an excellent choice for hikers and naturists. Best undertaken in the dark of night with a trusted guide, the 7 mile (10 km) trek culminates with a superlative view of the Jamaican sunrise and even neighboring Cuba.
There are a number of places to stay on the mountain, many of them coffee plantations known for their contributions to the internationally famous Blue Mountain Coffee brand. There are also cheap campsites or cabins, so accommodation will not be an issue. Establishments like Whitfield Hall, Wildflower Lodge or Strawberry Hill will also provide local guides.
