Just over 4 miles in actuality, Seven Mile Beach is located in westernmost Jamaica in the community of Negril. With beautiful white sand for beach activities, fierce cliffs for the fearless jumper, and enough space to find a night-time party or a secluded cove of sunshine along its length, it's no wonder that resorts are scrambling to develop this area. Sadly, although it was long known as a place to get away from the crowds, it has seen increasing tourism due to construction of an island highway system.
Still, it is a truly hip place to stroll about or throw down a towel and lay down, as long as you aren't easily annoyed by the vendors that you'll invariably be running across. There are also plenty of places to grab food and drink, as well as other beach amenities.
