Don't let the name fool you; though the Central Business District may be a hub of commercial and economic activity during daylight hours, by the time the sun's rays are waning in the west this area comes alive with Kenyans socializing over good meals and cold Tuskers. Establishments aren't tightly packed over the entire multiple-block area, but the parallel Kaunda and Mama Ngina Streets are a good place to start if you're feeling hungry. Any local or cab driver will be able to direct you to staples like Simmer's (food and music on Mbingu St) or Florida 2000 (club on Moi Ave). Other notable names to look out for are stylish Tribeka (near the unmistakable Nation Center building) and the tasty/slightly pricey Italian cooking of Trattoria (on the corner of Wabera and Kaunda Streets). If you're looking for downtown entertainment outside of Westlands, this is where you'll find the bulk of it.
