In a prime location within an hour of Kuala Lumpur, the Kanching Rainforest and Templer's Park areas are a quick, exciting nature get-away for those who want to experience the jungle in a day. Both of these locations have thick rainforest, jungle huts, and spectacular waterfalls, although the Kanching Rainforest has yet to pander to the golf courses and public swimming pools of Templar's Park (making it a much more Embark-style adventure).
The most frequented attraction is Kanching Falls, which cascade a total of seven times through the hills, although the second and third are the biggest and most popular with visitors. Take a dip here and then move your way up the steep embankments to where you'll undoubtedly find some more tranquil settings in which to enjoy the spray of the pools near the top of the falls. Just be careful, because climbing along the falls (especially in poor footwear) can be dangerous.
