Start from Mrkojevici village, which belongs to the Municipality of Bar, to go hiking! It is a medium hike, climbing up to the 1,954 m highest peak of mountain Rumija (around 3h) and coming back and visit Stari Bar, the only Montenegrin coastal city whose old city is not situated by the sea. The starting point is at a Russian Monastery, and during climbing you can see the entire Bar riviera. From around half of climbing, you can see the Skadar Lake and the city Shkodër in distance. At the top of the mountain is a small church constructed a couple of years ago. We really recommend Montenegro Eco Adventures who organized the tour for us, it was perfect!
Montenegro, the pearl of the Mediterranean, unique in many ways, is situated in the south of the Adriatic. Nowhere else can you find, so much natural wealth, beauty, mild beaches, clear lakes, fast rivers, and gorgeous mountains in such a compact area as in Montenegro!
