Arrowtown's main boulevard, Buckingham Street is a line-up of buildings reminiscent of this small community's gold-mining heyday. The nod to history includes old-fashioned signs and facades, as well as the town's small and well-maintained museum, but you'll also enjoy a number of pleasant cafes and bakeries, making it a great place to be for breakfast or lunch. Provisions of Arrowtown (just off of Buckingham on Centennial) and Arrowtown Bakery may be your best choices for a quick, easy bite. As far as drinking establishments go, there are just a few in this tiny community, but they all have a little bit of sophistication. The Arrow Brewery has its own selection, while The Blue Door and The Pork and Tap are classic spaces. No matter why you're in Arrowtown (a trek out to Macetown, tourist gold-panning, etc.), it won't be a bad idea to hang out on Buckingham Street for a bit and take in the atmosphere.
