The Pachacamac ruins are situated about 40 km (25 miles) southeast of Lima. By themselves, they constitute an impressive archeological collection of pyramids, temples and other adobe structures that served as an area of deep religious significance to pre-Hispanic coastal dwellers. When paired with an invigorating bike ride through the scenic Lima countryside, however, it becomes the enticing cultural reward to an incredible urban adventure. There are also a variety of trails in the surrounding Lucumo Hills to explore once you reach Pachacamac, if you haven't already gotten your fill of exploration. Definitely a unique combination of culture and adventure worth checking out.
