Miraflores is perhaps the best known tourism hub in Lima, where culture, shopping, dining and nightlife converge in a cosmopolitan setting worlds away from the city's peripheral shanty-towns. Its coastal stretch of the Malecon offers some prime views of the Pacific and access to beautiful parks including the popular Parque del Amor. Here you'll also find the LarcoMar Shopping Center which, believe it or not, is the setting for two of the city's most impressive nightclubs. Who'd have thought?
When you've had enough of the coast, mosey on inland and you'll encounter plenty of bar and dining action on the streets immediately surrounding Parque John F. Kennedy (interesting name for a Peruvian park, we know). This should get you off to a good start, but don't hesitate to check out our link if you're looking for more detailed info.
