San Isidro

- Summary
A far cry from some of Lima's seedier districts, the modern skyscrapers and secure residential neighborhoods of San Isidro make it a favorite for travelers seeking a taste of the Peruvian good life. Which isn't to say it's a district completely devoid of culture. Financial buildings, well manicured parks and pre-Inca pyramids blend together to give it a distinctly unique feel, complete with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes to check out. Start your exploration around the beautiful Parque el Olivar and you'll have no trouble finding a place to sit and taste the local flavors. Clientele here tend to be older and prices more expensive, but for a break from the crowds and a more upscale night out this is your spot.
