Solovetsky Islands (also known as Solovki) have extremely strong energetics. This place combines beautiful but rough northern nature, the strength of religious belief of the people that built a monastery there and suffering of political prisoners who were imprisoned in the labor camp in the Soviet Russia. While you are on the islands, you can feel yourself back in time, back in the Soviet Union. The locals still use wooden abacus and old Soviet symbolics like the hammer and sickle.
The nature of the islands gives an impression of constant fight for survival. The winds from the sea and low temperature make the trees and grass powerful and small. Numerous sea-gulls travel between sky and the sea. The woods lure by their mysteriousness. Spending a couple of days on the islands will leave an indelible impression on you.
