A nature reserve on the KwaZulu Natal coastline, Sodwana Bay is one of the premiere diving locations in the world, tucked quietly away just north of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. Gorgeous, forested sand dunes give way to the Indian Ocean and an abundance of tropical sea-life and coral reefs. The intrigue for divers is the over 1200 species found in the reefs, as well as the numerous underwater caverns and vast number of quality dive locations like Coral Gardens and Wayne's World. Check the official site for a listing of dive companies, dive requirements, and various packages available.
Note:Sodwana Bay is about a five hour drive north up N2 Road from Durban, the nearest large city in South Africa.
