Since their immigration in the 1980's, Boulder's Beach in False Bay has been home to a progressing population of African Penguins. Take the path along Willis Walk to get within viewing distance of these interesting creatures without paying anything. Otherwise, entrance to the national park (located just outside of Cape Town) is R30 ($4 US) and includes areas where you can walk amongst them and even swim. Called jackass penguins for a time because of their loud braying, make sure to be careful if you get close, because, if agitated, these little guys will definitely bite!
