Anyone with at least a passing fancy for Discovery's Shark Week and the cojones to get in the ocean with these amazing creatures needs to move Protea Banks, a coral reef off the South African coast, to the top of their embark.org itinerary.
One of the top shark diving sites on the globe, the more experienced and brazen diver will want to swim with the hammerhead, great white, and bull shark in deeper parts of the reef. For the rest of us, there are more shallow areas of this reef that lie off of the southern coast that call our names, with a selection of barracuda and yellow-tail populating the waters. We suggest doing some research of your own into trustworthy dive instructors in the area, although the included website does have some packages available.
