About a three hour drive south of Granada, the town of Tarifa has blown up in the water-sport community due to it's consistency in wind and waves (particularly Los Lances). Throw your board down in this wind-surfing mecca or enjoy trekking the sand dunes along beaches like Punta Paloma, Valdevaqueros, or Las Dunas. There are plenty of windsurfing and kitesurfing centers along this part of the Spanish coast, so if that is your style, your next adventure awaits you!
Note:Located on the Strait of Gibraltar, Tarifa is a great hub for a multi-country trip. If you're feeling like mixing it up, you'll be just across the Alboran Sea from Morocco and a few hours southeast of Portugal. You'll also be close to two of the best (and most expensive) golf courses in Europe, Dehesa Montenmedio and Benelup Golf and Country Club.
