A beautiful cathedral in the center of the city (Calle Gran Vía de Colón, 5), Granada Cathedral is a Spanish landmark exemplifying the Renaissance style. If you want to see Granada's version of the big, Catholic place of worship, then this is it. Inside, it is ornate and extravagant, with paintings by the likes of El Greco and a handful of intricately designed chapels. Entrance is about $5 USD for this magnificent structure, although we recommend the use of a guidebook over the often confusing audio tour. Also, be aware that the church is closed from 2 to 4 pm and that camera flashes are forbidden (and quite often ignored).
