Used by the King of Spain for official state business (although formerly the personal home of previous kings), the Royal Palace of Madrid has over 3000 rooms and spans 135,000 square meters (1,450,000 square ft), making it the largest palace in all of Europe. Architecturally, this 18th century behemoth boasts numerous eras of stylistic influence and a wealth of fine art from masters including Morales, Goya and Caravaggio. Of the fifty rooms visitors can tour, including the Royal Armoury and the Painting Gallery, not one looks like any other; an impressive feat! Tour entrance will cost you around 10 euro.
Note:The Palacio Real is located on Calle de Bailén in downtown Madrid.
