With go-karts, cafes, movies, a driving range and more, one could certainly make the case that Bangkok's "Royal City Avenue" (abbreviated RCA) is more than just a nightlife hub. In reality, however, even the locals will tell you that the strip is at its hottest when the sun goes down. Home to a variety of transient and mainstay bars and clubs (the popular Route 66 included in this number), the large and chic venues lining RCA play everything from hip-hop to electronica until well after 2 am. If you're trying to avoid the decibels just head outside, as almost every club offers a plethora of outdoor seating (definitely a welcome reprieve on warm Bangkok nights). There's a reliable stream of action all week long, with Friday and Saturday nights getting packed by 10 pm. For clubbers, it's safe to say RCA is a can't miss.
