Ever wanted to learn how to survive on your own in the wilderness? Want to learn fun new skills and crafts using the native plants of Colorado? Come camp out for the night near a babbling Rocky Mountain brook as we learn applicable skills for navigating the wilderness and surviving using only what we find around us. We will do hands-on activities to practice survival skills, and spend the second day putting them to the test in the wild!
Weekends from June 1st through August 31st
I grew up in Boulder, CO enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Got my BA in Environmental Studies from the Universiy of Colorado and went on to study survival skills at Tracker's Earth in Oregon. Now I have been leading backpacking trips and wilderness survival courses for over two years, with a record of safety and epic fun. I have also completed an 80-hour Wilderness First Responder Medical Training in order to effectively deal with the unlikely case of injury or illness on the trail.
You will be expected to bring all of your own camping gear, and I can send you a comprehensive packing list. Some gear can be rented from the Universiy of Colorado (http://www.colorado.edu/recreation/outdoor-programs/equipment-rentals) or from the Denver REI Store (http://www.rei.com/stores/denver.html).
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.
