Hike along the snowy valley floor, along the Middle St. Vrain Creek as you approach the drmatic and stunning Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. The remote and seldom-used trail will be moderately challenging, becoming more so as you break treeline to expose views of the steep and magnificent Rocky Mountains. the 16-mile hike with a 2.933 foot elevation gain is worth it when the trail opens up to a alpine meadow and the peaceful Gibraltar Lake. Here you will enjoy your lunch with views of the majestic, snow-capped Elk Mountain and the breathtaking, wind-worn curves of the Middle St. Vrain Glaciers. Then, you get to reap the benefits of having already broken trail, as you follow you footsteps back down the mountain with ease.
I am available any time December 18th, 2014 - January 11th, 2015. After that I am available Thursday-Sunday as long as you book the tour two weeks in advance.
