Green Mountain is a 2.8 mile moderate intensity hike. It is a great hike for anyone new to the area and looking to get into hiking and mountaineering. It provides two amazing long range views at the top. To the east is the city of Boulder and most of Boulder county as well. To the west are several higher peaks including Mount Meeker and Longs Peak.
Any day, must start hike by 12pm.
I have not only hiked Green Mountain numerous times, I have also worked the trail for Boulder Open Space for 4 different years and know it and the surrounding area very well.
Dogs are allowed, either on leash or with a Boulder Open Space green tag that states they are under voice and sight control. Please make sure to bring plenty of water (at least 2-3 bottles per person) and as well as some quick protein and carbohydrate snacks (nuts, dried fruit, jerky, etc.). I will have food and water with me as well to the group. Also, make sure to bring at least a raincoat (a fleece is also recommended as Colorado weather can change very quickly, especially in the mountains).
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.
