A single day skiing at Arapahoe Basin, located 6 miles east of Keystone, Colorado. A-Basin is known throughout Colorado as the first ski area to open each season and the last to close. It is a high altitude ski area, with its summit at just over 13,000 feet. A-Basin offers a huge variety of terrain from beginner slopes to hike to cliff chutes overlooking the mountain.
Any day, from mid-November through mid-April.
I have been a skier almost my entire life, and I have skied A-Basin for many, many of those years. As a result, I have discovered many little "secret spots" on the mountain.
The $110 price includes an adult full day lift ticket for everyone on the adventure. Kids are welcome to come as well! You will need to bring your own equipment and gear (please dress warmly if going between November and March as the altitude allows rapid changes in temperature and weather.
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.
Aprahoe Basin Upper Parking Lot: 28194 US-6 Highway
  • Day 1
Meet up in the upper parking lot just above the base of the ski area (a two minute walk to the lifts) at 9am. Plan on having eaten breakfast, although I will have food with me to help us keep our energy up throughout the day. We will start out taking a run down the front side to warmup and so I can see where everyone's strengths are as a skier/snowboarder. All levels of skiing are encouraged to come. After that, we will go ski around the mountain. Lunch will be decided upon (time, location on the mountain) by the group once there. I will have food with me, and A-Basin also offers food at two different lodges. We will conclude the day with a top to bottom run (2200 vertical feet) around 3:30 in the afternoon (if the snow is great, this can be pushed back to 3:45-4 to allow another run as the lifts close at 4).
