Come explore this gorgeous and little-used trail in the Olympic National Forest with me! Mt.Zion is a rhododendron forest which should be in full bloom during the warm weather months. It is a steady but manageable incline, so beginners are welcome. The summit itself is overgrown and not very exciting, but I can show you the gorgeous, 360 degree views just past the summit. Hikers are responsible to pack a day pack with their own water and snacks. Transportation can be provided to up to 4 people.
Tours will start the last week of May. Available on weekdays and weekends.
I have been hiking the Olympics for years, and have hiked this particular trail several times. I adore outdoor activities, from walking to paddleboarding to acro yoga, and want to share that passion with as many people as possible.
The drive from Seattle to the hike is a few hours, so time spent for the hike may vary. We will go at whatever pace the group is comfortable with.
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.

  • Day 1
We will meet at 10am at the Velo Apartments and disembark together. The tour will stop at Subway for lunch on the way to the trailhead (unless all hikers have packed their own meals.) Upon arriving at the trailhead, we will stretch, use the restroom, and head up! Once at the viewpoint, we will stop and enjoy the fruits of our labor and eat a snack. Then, hike back down, and drive out.
