The seawall is the gateway to some of Vancouver's best highlights, and you get to see them all on this tour! We will go from downtown through False Creek all the way to UBC before heading back over the Burrard Street Bridge. This tour is ~40km and follows dedicated bike lanes. It is for the most part flat with some hills, though you will be so distracted by the beautiful scenery that you won't even notice them!
Any day, contact to confirm.
I am a tour guide at the Vancouver Lookout, as well as an avid cyclist who has lived in Vancouver for over 13 years. I know all the nice bike routes in the city and have extensive bike touring experience, having completed a solo cross-country bike trip last summer.
I have two bikes than can be used for $20 each, provided that they are the right size for you. Otherwise bike rentals (suggested location Spokes Bicycle Rentals), food and entrance admissions are at the customers' expense.
Full refund 2 days prior to tour.

  • Day 1
After getting your rental bikes (if needed), we will head out along towards Coal Harbour, stopping to watch seaplanes take off while admiring views of the North Shore Mountains. We will check out the architectural feats that are the Vancouver Convention Centre and Canada Place, and the Olympic Cauldron, before hopping on the Hornby Street bike lane. Following along the seawall on the other side, we will head east toward Science World with a detour to Chinatown where you can go inside the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. From there we will ride on the south shore of False Creek to Granville Island, passing by the Olympic Village constructed for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Take some time to refuel at the many cafes and restaurants on Granville Island before we continue onto Vancouver's popular Kitsilano Beach. Then we will venture onto Jericho Beach (keep an eye out for hopping bunnies!), Locarno Beach, Spanish Banks, before entering the Endowment Lands to the University of British Columbia. Depending on interest, we can stop by Wreck Beach (North America's largest naturist beach!), the Museum of Anthropology, and/or Nitobe Memorial garden. The return journey will involve pedalling on residential streets alongside some of Vancouver's most expensive homes. We will go over the Burrard Street Bridge and take in Sunset Beach and English Bay before returning to the starting point. Please note that all trips can be customized to your needs, just let me know if there are specific places you want to see.
