Day 01 | Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu from your home country and receipt by our representative at the airport, welcomes with garland of flowers. Then transfer to hotel by private vehicle and check in at the hotel, hotel staffs welcome you with welcome drink. Then the representative will brief you that the programs, other general information as well as collect necessity documents for preparation for permits. Then in evening transfer to Bhojan Grih (an authentic Nepalese restaurant) for welcome dinner with Nepalese cultural dances. Overnight at Hotel
Day 02 | Flight: Kathmandu (alt. 1310m)- Lukla (alt. 2840m). Trek to Phakding (alt. 2640m)
After early breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu, you'll transfer to the domestic airport which takes about 10 minutes drive. And then fly to Lukla, the gateway to Khumbu which is located at 2840 meter from sea level. Flight to Lukla takes about 35 minutes by Dornier/twin otter aircraft. This flight follows the Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang and Jugal ranges before entering the Eastern region where you pass Rolwaling Himal. Gaurisankar and Menlumtse before approaching the Khumbu area. After your arrival at you will meet our trekking team (guide, porters and sherpas). And start first day of walking through Lukla market. Today you'll trek to Phakding andwith a gentle climb up by the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Nupla 5885m and Kusumkang 6367m can be seen in the distance. Following the left bank of Dudh Koshi River we reach Phakding. Reach at Phakding village, check-in at lodges and free time. Dinner will be served at lodge. Overnight at lodge.
Day 03 | Trek: Phakding (alt. 2640m)-Namche Bazzar (alt. 3440m)
After breakfast at lodge in Phakding, you'll trek to Monjo following with the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. During follow the level path along the right bank from the resort, Thamserku 6623m. Looms skyward on the opposite bank. After crossing a stream and climbing the terraced hill from the Dudh Koshi route, you arrive at Banker. Walking on the riverbed on the left bank, through a forest you arrive at Chumow where you can visit the Vegetable Farm.
Walking along a path with many ups and downs, crossing a stream you pass by a small village located at 2840m gaining with 230m from Phakding. Then, we continue trekking to Namche. After 10 minutes walk, there is Sagarmatha National park entrance where we’ve to check our trekking permits/TIMS and park entrance fee is collected. Walking along the river you enter a forested mountainside and pass by a rocky area. After crossing a high winding path you descend to the riverbed and reach a V-shaped valley. The river forks -the right is Dudh Kosi and the left is Bhote Kosi that leads to Nangpa La. Crossing a Suspension bridge and walking a short distance along the Bhote Kosi you ascend to Namche Bazar. In Namche, check-in at lodge and free time to explore the village. Overnight at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge
Day 04 | Trek: Namche Exploration Day
After breakfast at lodge, you'll hike up to Syangboche airport-the highest altitude airport in the world which takes about 1 hr. Before reaching the oldest Sherpa village in Khumbu region, Khumjung village, you'll stop by Everest View Hotel (this hotel is currently knows the highest altitude hotel in the world, founded by Japanese). From this hotel you can view the Mount Everest, the top of the world and other mountain ranges such as Amadablam, Kusumkang, Thamserku, Kangtega, Tawoche peak, Lhoste and Nuptse.
After seeing great mountain views for the first time in this trek, walk to down to Khumjung village passing through a small forest. In Khumjung you will see Khumjung Hillary High School (the school founded by legend Sir Edmund Hillary). The village of Khumjung covers the largest area in Khumbu. After lunch at Khumjung we visit Khunde hospital. The hospital & school were built by the late Sir Edmund Hillary. And back to Namche and overnight at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge
Day 05 | Trek: Namche Bazzar (alt. 3440m)-Tengboche (alt. 3860m)
As always after breakfast at lodge, you'll have a gentle walk though the forest with magnificent view of mountains. The great view of the mighty peaks of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kwangde peak with view of the eastern snow capped mountains. The trail leads uphill through the forested path after crossing small river and the hardly walk to get to Tengboche. One of the most beautiful place in the Himalaya and the first thing that comes to your eye is the big Monastery, then the large field with campsites and teahouses, lodges beneath the towering majestic beautiful peak Ama Dablam. We shall have the chance to look around the monastery and the interesting visitor centre there and good view of the Everest/Lhotse massif but is also the classic viewpoint for Ama Dablam. Then will check-in at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 06 | Trek: Tengboche (alt. 3860m)-Dingboche (alt. 4360m)
After breakfast at lodge, we descend down from Tengboche, winding through the rhododendron forest to Deboche and crossing a bridge over the raging Imja Khol River. Hug the valley wall, and then traverse the plains to Dingboche, the start of the Imja Tse Valley. Dingboche is also the gateway to Chukung and farther beyond for the most challenging traverses towards Makalu area and Hunku Valley via Sherpani col 6100m and Amphu Laptsa pass 5780m. Then will check-in at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 07 | Trek: Day hike around Dingboche (alt. 4360m)
After taking morning breakfast, today you will rest in Dingboche for acclimatization . You may have full day rest or there are some places where you can go for a day walk like trek to Chhukung (4,730m) is worthwhile which takes approx. 3-4 hours from Dingboche, towards east within the Imjatse Valley, although the trek is gradual, however you can feel the thin air as the altitude gains slowly coming towards Chhukung. At Chhukung, there are few teahouses overlooking superb view of the snow capped peaks and glaciers after enjoy stroll back to Dingboche for overnight. Dinner will be served at lodge
Day 08 | Trek: Dingboche (alt. 4360m)-Lobuche (alt. 4950m)
After breakfast, we ascent the retrace our steps back to Pheriche before continuing along the trail up the broad valley bottom towards Dugla. Ahead of us is the trekking peak of Lobuje East (6,119m), which is one of the objectives on our Khumbu Climber itinerary, and to our left is the formidable north face of Taweche, the scene of many cutting-edge Himalayan ascents of the 1980s and 1990s. After three hours we reach the small collection of lodges at Dugla (4,620m/15,153ft). We might choose to walk up to the Sherpa memorials, from where there are outstanding views of Ama Dablam, Cholatse and Taweche. From Dugla, the trail starts steeply to climb up beside the glacier moraine. After a few hours the track eventually leads to a small cluster of tea houses pleasantly situated at Lobuche (4,940m). After reaching Lobuche, will check-in in lodge and dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 09 | Trek: Lobuche (alt. 4950m)-Gorakshep-Kalapattar (alt. 5550m)-Gorakshep (alt. 5170m)
After earlier breakfast, we continue our trek to Gorekshep in a windy and rocky path with the wonderful view of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse and other magnificent peaks. After check in at lodge & lunch, we shall continues towards Kalpattar located at 5550m from the sea level. About 2 hrs ascent to Kalapattar (5550m), you shall have the wonderful views Mt. Everest (8848m) in front and Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam and other Khumbu mountain ranges. This small peak offers the best views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and Ama Dablam along with the entire mountain views of Khumbu Himalayan range. Being here for some hours, we hike down to Gorekshep. Overnight at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 10 | Trek: Gorakshep (alt. 5170m)-Everest Base Camp (alt. 5360m)-Lobuche (alt. 4950m)
After breakfast, we shall walk towards Everest Base Camp and to the Khumbu Ice-fall. The trail passes through over rocky dunes and moraine and streams, till you reach the base camp. In Everest Base Camp the climbers gather for summiting Everest during the high expedition season. We explore base camp and its surroundings glacier and return back to Gorekshep for lunch. After lunch will trek back to Lobuche. Overnight at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 11 | Trek: Lobuche (alt. 4950m)-Pangboche (alt. 3930m)
After breakfast at lodge, we shall go down to Pangboche following Dugla and Pheriche. Overnight at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 12 | Trek: Pangboche (alt. 3930m)- Namche (alt. 3440m)
After breakfast at lodge, we trek down to Namche. First of all we heading down to Deboche, then to Tengboche. Then you walk down hill towards the Phungithanka vis Tangboche and after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river trek onwards to the Kyanjuma the junction of the trinity ways to Gokyo Valley, Khumjung village and Namche Bazzar. Then we shall reach at Namche. Check-in at lodge. Dinner will be served at lodge.
Day 13 | Trek: Namche (alt. 3440m)-Lukla (alt. 2840m)
After breakfast in Namche , you'll descent down to the Monjo village where we might have lunch. Then decent to Phakding and we gradually walk to Lukla passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village. Arrival in Lukla and you'll have time to stroll around the areas and guide will re-confirm your flight ticket and enjoy the last celebrate dinner with your crew member and overnight at Hotel.
Day 14 | Flight: Lukla (alt. 2840m)-Kathmandu (alt. 1310m)
After an early morning flight to Kathmandu which takes about 35 min. Transfer to hotel. And fully free day in Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 15 | Kathmandu Free day.
Today you have fully free day for relax at hotel and shopping for souvenirs. Optional activities can be done such visiting world heritage sites of Nepal. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 16 | Departure from Kathmandu, transfer to airport
Depending your flight time, you'll transfer to airport before 3 hours of flight time.
