Gold Strike Hot Springs is a trail that begins near the highway on the way to Arizona. The drive is about 45 minutes from the strip to the trail head. The trail heads down to the bottom of the Colorado River. There are hot springs and occasional wild life to be seen. Hike includes some occasional large rocks that will need to be climbed with the assistance of ropes but nothing particularly difficult. There is a lot of walking, round trip with breaks about 5 hours. At the end of the hike you will be able to see the Colorado River, the water is cold, also you will have a below view of the Hoover Dam and the bridge above. You may want to bring clothes / shoes that can get wet if you plan on getting in the water.
Saturdays & Sundays are ideal, However, weekday arrangements can be made if it's in the early morning with adequate planning time.
Born here in Vegas, I have done most the outdoor activities in the valley. This hike in particular I have done countless times in the past years. I'm a friendly and easy going guy willing to help anyone who wants to explore the area.
